Practice sound nutrition, hydration and adequate sleep – These are the building blocks for optimal health and fitness.
The food you eat provides the body with the necessary energy to fuel a workout making it possible to achieve peak performance. By eating a combination of carbohydrates, protein and fats, you are providing your body with the things it needs to repair and recover from exercise.
Water is an important nutrient for life because it helps regulate our temperature, lubricate our joints and transport nutrients throughout the body. Without proper hydration, performance can decline and heart rate and body temperature spiral upward, cause muscles to cramp and cause fatigue.
